Merapi Trektocht
In het begin van de avond, om 19 h, wordt u door de chauffeur opgehaald bij uw hotel in Jogjakarta. U rijdt nu in zo’n anderhalf uur naar het startpunt vanwaar de beklimming begint. Het goed om hier nog wat rust te nemen, voordat de klim begint.
Het ideale tijdstip om te beginnen is om middernacht. De beklimming naar de top duurt ca. 5 uur. U wordt begeleid door een lokale gids. Als de totale beklimming u teveel blijkt te zijn, kunt u op een lager punt stoppen. Rond 4:30h krijgt u, bij een heldere nacht, een schitterend zicht op het omringende land.
Misschien bent u wat uitgeput van de lange klim, maar toch vooral zult u trots zijn dat u het hem geleverd heeft. U kunt genieten van de prachtige zonsopgang boven de oostelijke helling, die borg staat voor een onvergetelijke ervaring!
Eenmaal weer beneden en terug in uw hotel kunt u overdenken, dat het waar is, dat je schoonheid niet altijd voor niets krijgt.
