Yogyakarta Cycling and Soft Trekking Tour
Day 1 Transfer in
Upon arrival at the airport of Yogyakarta, our driver is ready to meet you. Transfer to your accommodation.Day 2 Yogyakarta Cycling Tour At around 07.30, we pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta, then we go to Seyegan village which is around 15 minutes from Yogyakarta town. From this village we start cycling accompanied by villagers hospitality who will great you almost everywhere. On this journey, we can have a look from a close distance, snake skin fruit plantation (salak), the process of making tofu of soya been, process of traditional food, traditional handicraft, and activities of villagers in the rice field. If you like you can join with them to practice.In between the trip, we make a break and drink fresh young coconut which is just taken from the tree.Afternoon, we visit the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is the most beautiful Hindus temples in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples
Day 3 Yogyakarta – Ungaran After breakfast, check out from your hotel then we will visit Sultan Palace of Yogyakarta is the main point to visit in this town. Here we can see the Javanese sample of architecture with its joglo building style. And the joglo in the palace is real representative of Javanese architecture which has also philosophy meaning. After that we go to water castle which is supposed to be the swimming pool of the royal family. Have a look at silver process producing beautiful handicraft in Kota Gede can be an option when you are in YogyakartaThen proceed to Explore the most famous temple in Indonesia called Borobudur. Follow the life of Buda carved on its wall from which we can learn how Buddhist’ life was. We can also visiting Pawon and Mendut temples afterward. Overnight in Ungaran
Day 4 Ungaran – Tawangmangu or Sukuh Today, early morning at about 06.00, we will move by car to West of Ungaran Central Java on the slope of Ungaran Hill. Stop at Nglimut Hot Spring Park where we will start our trekking.Enjoy the beauty of tea plantation walk and villagers hospitality when meet you during your way. If possible, we can also see the process of tea process in Medini tea plantation. Also enjoy the scenery beneath you while you reach the top of the hill.Afternoon drive to Tawangmangu or Sukuh area.
Day 5 Tawangmangu / Sukuh– YogyakartaPick up from your accommodation then we will go to Cetho temple. This temple can be the last significant building in Java before the influence of Islam came. Up to nowadays people still use it for worship and ceremony. After that we trek for about 3 – 4 hours through mountainous way while your eyes keep enjoying the beauty atmosphere surrounding. Arrive in Sukuh. The temple is different from any other Hindus temple in Java, built in a simple pyramid structure with reliefs and statues in front of it. Though it is a simple temple but it has an unrevealed mystery.Afternoon drive to Yogyakarta.
Day 6 Transfer out to the airport of Yogyakarta
